The only place that shelters the Rhinoceros in Uganda, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is found in the central part of the country along the Kampala – Gulu highway. It welcomes many visitors who come to have a great experience with these animals. It is home to not only the Rhinos but also other creatures such as birds, antelopes, insects, and various plant species.
From the Airport you can get direct to this place for the rhino tracking experience. The distance is about 210 Kilometers and a drive requires about 2-3 hours. Along the route, you pass by multiple allures including local markets that vend fresh agricultural products. If you are arriving at EBB in the evening spend a night at a hotel in Entebbe.
Then next day, you visit the Sanctuary. Apart from the tracking adventure, you enjoy other pursuits like birding and nature walk. After the activities here, you drive back to the capital or Entebbe.
